Victoria and Ben had their own small businesses designing and developing websites for many years.

One day Victoria met with the Harvard Square Business Association—several of their members were looking for websites. Everything they asked for sounded totally reasonable, until the question of budget came up. Turns out these small businesses only had $1000 each to spend, and no web designer would even talk to them! Neither would Victoria. She left the meeting feeling kind of sad that she couldn’t help.

But she kept thinking about it, wondering if there was a way to help these guys out. Suddenly it hit her. What if the client would come in for say, 3 hours, sit down with us, and we design the website right in front of them? It would save a LOT of time and expense going back and forth on revisions, and we’d get the site done fast and affordably.

She ran it by Ben and he really dug the idea. He started thinking about how to set up the technology to make this possible. They tested 3 Hour Web out on a few of their clients who were nice enough to be their “guinea pigs” and it turned out they really liked it!
